Over 1500 entries. Several hundred thousand votes. And viewed by millions across the country.

Finally, five finalists were selected and flown in to New York City for this once-in-a-lifetime chance to grace the cover of the Modern Bride’s December/January issue. The winner was announced on the CBS Early Show and quickly ushered to the eagerly awaited “Modern Bride of the Year” photo shoot. In preparation for this day, the editors of Modern Bride hand selected a collection of Parade jewelry to be worn by the winner at the 15 hour photo session.

Congratulations to Megan Robillard of Austin, Texas. She is a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and recently returned from a 15-month deployment in Baghdad. Her beauty, grace and courage epitomize the modern bride. To complement Megan’s style, Parade awarded her with the following nature-inspired jewelry from the popular Lyria® leaves collection.

When asked about this experience, Megan stated
“I had a lot of fun at the photo shoot trying on different pieces by Parade, your designs looked amazing with all of the dresses I tried on! I think your jewelry is absolutely beautiful and my necklace is the first thing I show off (after the magazine) when I tell anyone about the contest! You are an amazing designer and any girl would be lucky to be wearing any piece by Parade Designs on their wedding day.”
